Nine claims not to remember anything about his childhood. And he really doesn't. Nine isn't even his name. He has no idea what his name is. He just remembers starting life right after killing a family. It was a woman and her two children. He still doesn't know their names. He somehow collected himself and left them there, managing to not be seen covered in blood from the chest down. He's guessed his age based on his teeth, but he could be wrong. He feels older. He eventually wandered around the city, rather aimless, and decided to kill for money; he was actually paid in peanuts, but he didn't realize that at the time. He just wanted to try to get a life in order. A mark of his was, unfortunately, also sought after by someone from the Assassin's Guild, and while Nine obviously wasn't able to complete his mission, he ended up joining the guild shortly afterward. His mouth and dislike of following orders has him stuck in Division 2. He's known for giving lip to pretty much anyone. He'll have to learn how to respect his superiors before he can move forward. |
When it comes to anything but the job, he is very lazy, self-centered, and acerbic. Extremely caustic, and at times, almost too volatile to properly deal with other people. He also loves to whine about absolutely everything, mostly just to piss off everyone else. He seems to be brash and is quick to throw insults at others. He also seems to be stupid, but what he lacks in knowledge, he makes up for in cleverness and creativity. If you ask him what the best part about his job is, it's that he can add his own style with each killing. His plans and methods seem to be extremely over the top and almost too precise -- he once sliced an entire body into equal-sized pieces. He lacks a proper reputation and a high rank because of his flair for the dramatic, but he is surprisingly good at keeping everything clean. He could be classified as being a sociopath because of his extreme apathy and obsessive behaviours. He has a certain thing with blood. Sometimes it upsets him, and he hates his own, but other times, he's fascinated with it. He enjoys cutting his victims just to see the spatter, enjoys freezing them just to see it dry up. He has a high tolerance for pain and almost craves it, and would probably cut himself if he didn't hate his own blood. His flair for the dramatic comes from his morbid fascinations, and it also comes as a sort of compulsion. He enjoys doing it, but he regards his need with some animosity because, well, it is a need, and becomes more of a hunger than a "special touch". He doesn't try to hold himself back, showing his poor self-control. He prefers not to kill children, but has no trouble with killing anyone else, and sometimes goes over his quota. But with the way he usually acts, you wouldn't even suspect him to be an assassin. Really. |
He's fairly tall and quite skinny, but he has built muscles, especially on his arms and chest. The rest of him seems almost girly, notably his bright red hair which is short, but longer than most males would choose to keep theirs. Not that he's meticulous about his appearance or anything, and the things he wears are rather ordinary and casual. He actually appears to be rather innocent due to his expressive eyes and generally amusing expressions. He's very good at being inconspicuous. His movements tend to be on the awkward side, but while working, he is amazingly precise. |
